Our Open Sunday Woodworking Club is a great opportunity for woodworkers of all experience levels to develop their skills, work on their own projects, and enjoy the guidance of experienced instructors.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced woodworker, you can work at your own pace on projects that interest you. Our instructors are on hand to offer advice, demonstrate techniques, help solve problems, and guide you towards developing new skills and confidence in the workshop.
Not sure what to make? No problem. Our instructors can help you choose a suitable project based on your experience, interests, and the skills you’d like to develop.
With small class sizes and an ongoing program, the course provides a relaxed and supportive environment where you can work alongside other like-minded woodworking enthusiasts, share ideas, and learn from one another.
Come along with a project in mind, or simply bring your enthusiasm for working with wood — there’s always something new to learn and make.
- The class is limited to eight students, allowing your tutor to give individual attention.
- Students are introduced to fundamental skills including marking out, tool handling, sharpening, machine operation and personal safety.
- After an introductory projects, students could work on projects of their own choosing.
- Tutors provide guidance tailored to each student’s ability and project.
- Assistance included project design, timber selection, construction methods, finishing, responsible workshop practices and safe machine operation.
- 8 x week term (18th of OCT – 6th DEC 2026)
- 9am-1pm each Sunday during the term.
